We've had lots of requests for this kind of "START UP" kit for new face painters. There are of lots recent high school grads who have turned this into their first enterprise, lots of grandmas and grandpas who have become the must-have guests at all their family gatherings, and lots of other artistic types who have found a fast and easy way to suppliment their starving-artist lifestyle! So here it is! Everything you need to set up except the folding chair and the water. Kit includes: *Snazaroo Pro-54 Palette (value, $160.00)-- has 30ml containers of the 6 most used and most popular colors (black, white, bright red, bright pink, bright orange, and bright yellow), plus 2ml disks of all the other Snazaroo colors (except the newest, "Sparkle Salmon.") This is a high-quality, sturdy palette with a replaceable lid to keep paints fresh between uses. All the 2ml slots can be refilled or added to (each color slot is deep enough to hold 4 disks -8ml- of the same color.) Slots can be added to/refilled with either the tube replacment pack (see the Walk-Around Palette for details) or with the disks from any of the 8-color palettes or the 28-color palettes. Unlike the "disposable" brushes that come in most Halloween face paints, these brushes will hold on to their bristles (rather than leaving them in the paint on your face....) Just wash in hot, soapy water after each session, and they should last you through hundreds of faces! *10-pack of hi-density face painting sponges (value, $6.50) Perfect for applying paint to a large area (especially good for painting bodies and full faces). Also useful for making clean, crisp edges, and or wiping off unsatisfactory bits of painting for do-overs! *2 Face painting books (value, $12.95 each) 1 copy of Snazaroo Zoo (great for a variety of animal faces and designs children will love;) 1 copy of The Complete Guide to Face Painting (with an excellent overview of techniques and tips for all styles of face painting). Each of these books has some beautiful full-face designs -- a step up from the beginner level. The Butterflies book is just what it says, and in most cases will be appreciated more by little girls; the Cats book offers many of the stylized cats similar to those in the Broadway musical of the same name; and the Fantastic Faces book offers fantasy creature designs. *BONUS -- Purciful's will add 5 sheets of assorted temporary tatoos, and a bar of lusciously scented ZUM hand-crafted goats milk soap for quick clean ups (and it's great to keep your brushes well conditioned!) *Purciful's 3 BEST TIPS for new face painters: 1. Take a full box of unscented, non-allergenic baby wipes to each face-painting event/session. Wipes are always more useful than paper towels or tissues, and they don't stick to the damp paint, or leave fibers in a beautiful design . 2. | If you are using either the Color wheel palette, or the Walkaround palette (or even one of Snazaroo's great 8-color beginner palettes...) You can now get refills! Each of these tubes contains 1 each of the top 16 colors made by Snazaroo (excluding black and white) so you can refill your colorwheel! The tube protects the refill disks of color from moisture and lets you add them in to your palette as you need them. Colors included are: dark grey, turquoise, royal blue, sky blue, pastel blue, pastel green, bright green, lilac, purple, bright red, orange, bright yellow, bright pink, pastel yellow, light beige and light brown We recommend keeping the tube in a zip-lock and in your freezer until you need it for maximum preservation! | Here are all the colors of face paint Snazaroo sells. The RE-CLOSEABLE clam-shell trays come with either the Top 28 colors Snazaroo makes, or the balance of the Snazaroo line -- so if you have both these trays, you have ALL the Snazaroo colors including the pastels, metalics, sparkles, flesh tones, and all the rich basic colors that have made Snazaroo famous. Each paint disk is 1" in diameter. (HINT: always let your paints completely dry before reclosing the pallet -- and it's a good idea to use a sheet of plastic wrap under the lid each time to help seal the paints!) All these paints are water based paints and wash off with soap and water. One 28-color tray contains enough paint for 140 faces. For those who are new to face painting, this is a great opportunity to find out which colors you use most -- and which are for details and unusual designs -- and then you can re-order those you go through quickly in out economy 18ml sized color discs. | These are absolutely our favorite way to use face paints here at Purciful's Magical Toys. A generous 30ml container (nearly twice the size of our bestselling 18ml paints!) is a soft, pliable plastic -- easy open and close, air tight seal etc. -- unlike the brittle plastic containers used for the 18ml product. And -- while our supplies hold out, we have these in 4 "cosmic" or neon colors that are great for summer. All Snazaroo paints are non-toxic and hypoallergenic -- they apply easily with water and a brush or sponge -- and wash off with a little soap and water! ps: there's room for 2 of these pots in Snazaroo's great "color wheel" palette, and in the "walk around palette" for sale in our face painters and fundraisers section! |
